A few things about me

1. I am an Instructional Designer designing and creating learning solutions that adhere to contemporary adult learning theory and best practices - solutions that solve business problems.
2. I have a Masters of Science in Learning Design and Technology from George Mason University, with a certificate in e-Learning.
3. Justice matters. The common theme in my work in Diversity Equity and Inclusion, accessibility, and responsible AI is justice. The more information I have and the more people I know, the more I can learn, connect others, value all, and treat everyone with dignity.
4. I love learning. I sometimes can't believe that there's anything as beautiful as Instructional Design. To spend my days, not only learning, but learning about learning, and helping others learn . . . is sweet indeed.
5. I've been helping others learn for over 25 years.
6. I have a lengthy career gap because I educated my children at home. I graduated three of them from our home school before they went on to college, and the younger children transitioned to public school. This was my proving grounds for developing skills in research, resource management, planning, juggling multiple priorities, and leadership.
7. I like having clear expectations and guidelines, but am adept at thinking outside the box and swiftly adjusting plans, priorities, and systems to meet unanticipated needs. (refer to #4).
8. My masters degree is an outcome of a search for health insurance. Ask me about that - I love storytelling.
